Endometriosis is a common condition that affects women during the reproductive years. It occurs when tissue similar to the uterine lining (endometrium) attaches to organs in the pelvis and begins to grow. If you have endometriosis, it may be more difficult for you to become pregnant. Up to 30% to 50% of women with endometriosis may experience infertility.
Here is some information on endometriosis and infertility from sources at the Center, as well as the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
