Donald B. Maier, M.D.

A physician at The Center for Advanced Reproductive Services and former Chief of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility at UConn Health, Dr. Maier is Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility. He has specialized in Reproductive Endocrinology since 1982.

Dr. Maier has been the recipient of several “Best Doctor in America” awards and been repeatedly selected by The Consumers’ Research Council in America to be included in their Guide to America’s Top Obstetricians and Gynecologists. This honor, based on a point value system, awards points for education, years in practice, affiliations with professional associations and board certifications.

He graduated from Hahnemann Medical College and completed his residency at Thomas Jefferson Hospital, both in Philadelphia. He completed his fellowship at Duke University.

In addition to being an Emeritus Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at UConn Health, Dr. Maier has special interests in IVF, PGD, recurrent pregnancy losses, uterine surgery, endoscopic surgery, and the psychological aspects of infertility. He was a full-time physician at The Center 1982-2008. Dr. Maier retired from full-time practice at The Center in 2010 but continues to work part-time with us participating in patient care and academic/educational activities
